Sometimes the best recipes (just like inventions) come out of necessity. So it is with this recipe for Double Chocolate Graham Cracker Toffee. Since I’d had extra chocolate graham crackers left over from another recipe I’d completed, I wanted to use them up quickly before they got lost in the back of the pantry, which happens in my Kudos Kitchen more times than I care to admit.
I dressed these Cream Cheese Cookies in red for Valentine’s Day, but you can dress them in any color you like, or even leave them plain. The choice is yours. All I suggest is that you make them right away because they’ll soon become your go-to favorite cookie! Crunchy and creamy! Oh yeah!!!
When we got married, and Mark and I started our own family, there were certain traditions I wanted to continue from when I was a little girl and hopefully pass along to our two boys. These cookies were one of the things I incorporated throughout the years to fondly rekindle my joyous Christmas memories. I am happy to report that our boys (now grown) feel exactly the same way about these cookies as I did, and still do to this day. Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without Santa’s Favorite Sugar Cookies.
I always enjoy a gathering of appetizers where I can pick and choose my favorites, and pile them on a plate one by one. I think there’s something in my brain that tells me that, because they’re small, the calories don’t count as much…so please don’t burst my bubble. After all, diet season is right around the corner so I can and will worry about those pesky additional pounds then. Until then…Happy New Year! Let’s Party!!
I happen to love the flavor of peppermint during the holidays. However, neither of my sons are in favor of the flavor of peppermint. But, since I do all of the cooking and baking in the family, I get to choose what ingredients I add to my recipes. LOL Sorry, boys!
Trust me when I tell you that Santa himself would be thrilled to find a bowl of this White Chocolate Christmas Popcorn waiting for him on the hearth when he stops in on Christmas Eve to deliver packages. It’s a nice change of pace from cookies, and has that salty-sweet bite everyone loves! Even reindeer!
Every year for Christmas it’s tradition for me to make my family’s favorite sugar cookie. I’ve shared the recipe in the past (way back in 2010) and dubbed it “Santa’s Favorite Cookie.” This year, I decided to mix things up a little so I used the same recipe (basically), and made pumpkin shaped sugar cookies for my family as a special surprise treat they didn’t see coming! Needless to say, the cookies were gobbled up quickly. 🙂
This slow cooker pudding is a complete winner, and I’m really happy I went in the dessert direction! Slow cooker banana coconut pudding is a comfort food for the soul, and it’s a dessert you’ll want to add to your list of recipes to make, ASAP!
