Now, you can and should eat a Big Mac for breakfast—a Big Mac Quiche, that is. If you love the iconic burger, you'll adore the flavor of this quiche!

Big Mac's are my favorite fast food burger. Maybe it goes back to my childhood and that fun jingle everyone knew that makes this burger a standout in my mind. Whatever the reason, I have a few other Big Mac inspired recipes I'd love for you to check out while you're here: Big Mac Sliders are delicious as an appetizer or main course, and my Big Mac Burger Salad is a main course salad...with an additional colorful twist.

What type of pie crust is best for this recipe?

Either store-bought or homemade. For this recipe post I used store-bought Pillsbury deep dish pie crust (found in the frozen section of the grocery store) but any brand will work as long as it's a deep dish variety.

I also have a delicious flaky, buttery homemade pie crust recipe that would be delicious for this big mac quiche if you have the extra time to put into making a homemade crust.

How to serve a Big Mac quiche:

To really drive home the big mac flavor, I like to serve the quiche slices on top of shredded iceberg lettuce. Or you can top the quiche with shredded iceberg lettuce (not shown) for a pretty presentation.

A slice of Big Mac Quiche on a bed of shredded lettuce with a fork.

How many quiches does this recipe yield?

    Two deep dish quiches.

How many servings (per quiche) does this recipe make?

This recipe is written (with the nutritional and serving information) as yielding eight slices per quiche, so sixteen total slices between the two.

Can this recipe be scaled back in size?

    It sure can.

If you'd like to make only one Big Mac Quiche it's easy to divide this recipe evenly in half. The only thing you'll need to remember is you'll still need one egg for the egg wash and then 2 eggs for the filling.

Can quiche be frozen after baking?

You bet. This quiche freezes like a dream!

Serve one now and then freeze one for later.

How to freeze and reheat a cheeseburger quiche:

Cool the quiche completely and wrap either the entire pie (or individual slices) well in several layers of cling wrap. Freeze for up to 4 months.

Thaw in the refrigerator overnight and reheat on a baking sheet in a preheated 350 degree oven (175 degree Celsius) until hot. Approximately 15 minutes.

When to serve a cheeseburger quiche:

Anytime of the day is a great time to serve this delicious cheeseburger quiche. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or even a light night snack.

    Additional quiche recipes:

Gluten-Free Spaghetti Squash Quiche is a crustless quiche that utilizes fall's delicious harvest of spaghetti squash along with other assorted vegetables.

Cheesy Spinach and Artichoke Quiche is my playful and delicious riff on a traditional hot spinach and artichoke dip. Grab a fork and dig in!

This Ham and Asparagus Quiche with a Hash Brown Crust is perfection for any weekend brunch or when you want to treat yourself to something truly amazing.

    Make it a complete meal:

Wondering what to serve alongside this delicious quiche? Wonder no more...

Roasted Golden Beet and Broccoli Salad is earthy, bright, light, and colorful. The flavor balance of this salad will complement this rich and hearty quiche.

Roasted Baby Potatoes with Garlic and Herbs is a deliciously flavorful potato side dish, or appetizer. These potatoes taste fantastic when served with the creamy dipping sauce that is part of the same recipe.

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
    • In a small mixing bowl, beat 1 egg and t teaspoon of water to make an egg wash. Use a pastry brush to brush some of the egg wash on the bottom of each pie crust. Dock (poke holes) in the bottom of each crust with a fork. Reserve the remaining the egg wash for later.
    • Place the pie crusts on baking sheets (parchment paper is optional) and par-bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove the crust from the oven and set aside.
    • In a large skillet over medium/high heat brown the ground beef along with 1 teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Once fully cooked drain the excess fat from the beef and return it to the skillet without heat.
    • While the beef is browning make the special sauce, and shred the cheddar cheese.
    • In a large bowl whisk the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relishes, dehydrated onion, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ pepper, and milk in a large bowl.
    • Add the special sauce along with 1½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet with the drained ground beef. Stir well to combine.
    • Spoon the ground beef filling evenly into the par-baked pie shells and top each quiche with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese. Before baking brush the edges of the pie crust with the remaining egg wash and then sprinkle the curst evenly with sesame seeds.
    • Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and when a toothpick inserted in the center of each quiche comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes. Cut each quiche into wedges and serve the slices on a bed of shredded iceberg lettuce.
