McCormick’s Skillet Sauces come in 7 delicious flavors. One for every night of the week. They are:
Smoky Applewood BBQ Chicken with Bacon. Taco with Chipotle and Garlic. Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry (my choice for today’s recipe). Sweet and Smoky Sloppy Joes. Fire Roasted Chili. Fajita with Roasted Chile Garlic and Lime. And last but not least, Sicilian Chicken with Tomato, Basil, and Garlic (stay tuned because I have another delicious recipe coming soon to my blog using this one).

To keep my recipe a little on the healthier side, I decided that I’d use brown rice and load it up with tons of veggies like broccoli, sweet red pepper, bean sprouts and peas and carrots. After that, McCormick’s Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry Skillet Sauce packet, did the rest. With flavors including ginger, garlic, and soy sauce it was the perfect finishing touch to my Asian inspired fried rice.

Naturally, if you prefer white rice and a different selections of vegetables…Go for it! This recipe is totally customizable to your tastes and preferences. The only thing, I do suggest, is that you keep the McCormick’s skillet sauce in the mix. That’s what makes this a convenient meal your family will enjoy and one that will keep your kiddos happy and smiling at the dinner table! Priceless!

CHICKEN FRIED RICE WITH SESAME SEEDS AND ALMONDS  {PRINT THIS RECIPE}
Servings:  6-8     Prep Time:  30 minutes

6 cups cooked rice (I used brown rice)
1 pound chicken tenders, finely chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons sesame oil, divided
1 package (16 ounces) frozen peas and carrots, thawed
1/2 cup diced red pepper
1 cup broccoli floretes
1 cup bean sprouts
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3/4 package McCormick Sesame Chicken Stir Fry Skillet Sauce
1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoon sliced almonds
2 green onions, chopped or whole (optional)

-In a large skillet over medium/high heat, cook the chopped chicken tenders, onion and garlic in the canola oil until cooked through and no longer pink in the middle. Remove to a large bowl and set aside.
-Reduce the heat to medium low and in the same skillet, add the peas and carrots, red pepper and broccoli. Saute for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
-Stir in 1 teaspoon of the sesame oil and the bean sprouts. Remove from the skillet and add the vegetables into the same bowl with the chicken. Set aside.
-In the same skillet over medium heat, add the cooked rice. Make a well in the center of the rice and stir in the the eggs. Continue to cook and stir until the eggs are cooked. Add the salt and pepper and rice wine vinegar.
-Add the chicken and vegetables back into the skillet.
-Stir 1/2 to 3/4 packet of the McCormick Skillet Sauce thouroughly into the rice and chicken mixture (reserving the remainin sauce as dipping sauce if desired) and heat through.
-To serve, plate the Chicken Fried Rice and then top with the sesame seeds, sliced almonds and green onion if desired.

Assemble all ingredients. *Note – leftover rice works wonderfully well for this recipe. Finely chop the chicken tenders, along with the onion and garlic. Remove to a bowl and set aside.

Prepare the red peppers and broccoli, Cook all the veggies in the same skillet as the chicken and until just softened. Remove the veggies from the skillet and place in the same bowl as the chicken and onion. Set aside.

Add the rice into the same skillet. Make a well in the center and add the eggs. Cook and stir until the eggs are completely cooked. Season with salt, pepper and rice wine vinegar. Add the sesame oil, chicken and veggies back into the skillet. Stir in the McCormick Skillet Sauce and stir to combine.

To serve, plate the chicken fried rice and top with the sesame seeds, sliced almonds and green onion, Serve along with the remaining sauce if desired.
