A Sweet and Smoky Bacon Bloody Mary is a great way to have a cocktail and a snack all in one glass. I'll drink to that!

This drink can also be made without the alcohol if you prefer a virgin bloody Mary. It will still be delicious, and filling. Cheers to that!!

How many bloody Mary's with bacon does this recipe make?

As written, this recipe makes 1 cocktail.

However, it is easily adaptable to make as many as you like as needed.

You can even mix up an entire pitcher (or two) if you're serving a crowd.

What I wrote about this recipe back in 2016:

    Happy New Year Everybody!!

Did you know that January 1st is National Bloody Mary Day?

What better way to ring in 2016 than with a Bacon Bloody Mary?

Hopefully, you don't need a little "hair of the dog" on the morning after New Year's Eve, but if you do, try this recipe. You'll feel better in no time!

Since it's a brand new year, and I'm unveiling a brand new look for my blog, I thought it was also appropriate if I took things even further by trying my hand at some cooking videos.

Since the video featured (for sweet and smoky bacon) is my first real attempt, please bear with me as I learn the ins and outs of video production.

There is a definite learning curve, and right now I'm at the low end of the arc, but there is nowhere to go but up from here. LOL

Is making sweet and smoky bacon necessary for this recipe?

    No. Not at all!

But it will take your bloody mary to a whole new level of deliciousness!

Can other garnishes be used in this cocktail?

Yep! You're only limited by your imagination...

Two Bacon Bloody Mary's in glasses with the garnishes on a tray on the side.

Additional bloody mary garnish suggestions that may spark your creativity:

    • cocktail onions
    • cornichons
    • cooked beef cubes
    • lemon wedges
    • capers
    • prepared horseradish
    • sriracha
    • carrot sticks
    • cheese cubes
    • pickle spears

    You get the gist...

What do you add to your bloody mary? I'd love to know so don't be shy about leaving a comment.

Can this recipe be made without the alcohol?

    By all means, YES!!

It will still pack a punch of flavor that you're going to LOVE!!
