Thanksgiving’s Best Pineapple Cardamom Cranberry Sauce

Spread the love

The warmth of cardamom and cinnamon mixes well with the tangy sweetness of the cranberries, pineapple juice and orange in Thanksgiving’s Best Pineapple Cardamom Cranberry Sauce.

Pineapple Cardamom Cranberry SauceWe all know that there are a million recipes out there for cranberry sauce, and they all beat the buttons off the cranberry jelly sold in the cans on the grocery store shelves. You know the ones. The ones that come out like a log on a plate complete with that appetite suppressing suctioned slosh sound. Plop. Jiggle. Jiggle.

Now, please don’t take offense if you’re one of those people who enjoy that canned cranberry jelly (my eldest son is one of those folks, as a matter of fact). And, if you share your Thanksgiving or holiday table with those who happen to love it, by all means, serve it and be happy.

But, might I suggest that you also serve this whole berry Pineapple Cardamom Cranberry sauce right along with it? It’s a nice change of pace, and who knows, it may become a new family tradition to leave that can on the grocery store shelf along with all its mysterious ingredients.

The following wine glasses were a set I painted for a customer to match her Christmas dishes. To date, they’re still some of my absolute favorites. She was also kind enough to send a photo to me after she’d received her glasses, and that’s what the second picture is. I’ll bet her holiday table is amazing!
