But, getting to all of them will take time. Please bear with me. In the meantime let me assure you that this recipe is still a winner and one I’m sure you’ll be well pleased with when you make it at home.

Even though I’m not Polish, these amazing fruit filled treats are some of my very favorite cookies.

There’s something about a sweet jam filling folded up within a buttery cookie dough (like a love letter) that melts my heart, and delights my taste buds!

Makes: 1 dozen     Prep Time:  20 minutes     Bake Time: 25-30 minutes

3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
fruit jam (I used seedless raspberry and seedless blackberry)
powdered sugar for dusting

-In a large bowl with a hand mixer, or the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the cream cheese and butter.
-Add the vanilla.
-Add the flour slowly until incorporated.
-Shape into a disc, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Roll the dough out to 1/8″ thickness and cut into approximate 2 1/2″ squares
-Place about 1 teaspoon of jam into the center of each square. Overlap the opposite corners and press the dough together to seal.
-Place the cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet.
-Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
-Cool completely and then dust with powdered sugar.
