apricot preserves

fresh lime juice

honey

apple cider vinegar

garlic powder

kosher salt

Instructions
Place the apricot jam in a small saucepan.
Add in the whiskey (¼ cup, or more to taste), lime juice, honey, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Bring to a low simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly.
Stir in the red pepper flakes, and cook, stirring occasionally for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool completely. *Note - the glaze will thicken slightly as it cools.
Notes
Cool completely and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
