- 1 4-pound whole chicken patted dry
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Rub the chicken completely with the olive oil.
Place the chicken in an air fryer and season outside, and inside, with salt and pepper.
Rub the garlic over the outside of the chicken.
Cook at 375-degrees for 20 minutes.
Reduce the heat to 325-degrees and continue cooking for 20-25 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reaches 165-degrees when inserted into the thickest part of the thigh, but doesn't hit the bone.
If the juices are still pinkish in color, return the chicken to the air fryer and continue cooking until the juices run completely clear.
Allow the chicken to sit for 7-10 minutes (covered) before slicing and serving.
