Ingredients
To make the blue cheese dressing;
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup blue cheese crumbled
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • pinch salt
  • pinch black pepper
To make the chef's salad;
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese sliced and cut into chunks
  • 4 ounces provolone sliced and cut into chunks
  • 4 ounces Genoa salami sliced and cut into chunks
  • 4 ounces ham sliced and cut into chunks
  • 4 ounces turkey sliced and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes sliced in half
  • 1 jar capers drained
  • 3 hard cooked eggs quartered
  • teaspoon dried basil
  • teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
To make the blue cheese dressing;
  1. Whisk or stir all the dressing ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl until combined and creamy. Adjust the seasonings if needed.

  2. Chill until ready to serve.

To make the chef's salad;
  1. Layer all the ingredients, starting with the lettuce and ending with the dried herbs, capers, and hard-cooked eggs.

Cover and chill until ready to serve, OR serve immediately with the chilled blue cheese dressing.
