Before I started baking, I was a little intimidated to tackle this traditional German Bee Sting Cake. Our BFF’s have been to Germany many times over the years, and they’ve spoken so highly of this cake I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do it justice. Since I was gifting this cake to them for the many thoughtful acts they’ve done for us in the past, I especially wanted this cake to be amazing!
This dish for Authentic German Spaetzle Casserole was inspired by a recent trip to Germany my husband, and I was lucky enough to take onboard a Vantage River cruise ship (The River Voyager) down the Rhine River, on one of their culinary excursions. Corn dogs have always been something I crave, and they’re the one “food on a stick” that I enjoy more than all the others. Until now, of course. For me, a hot and hearty “Corn-Wurst” now takes the blue ribbon in my heart.
When the cooler months arrive, I tend to gravitate to German cuisine as my comfort food of choice. It just speaks to me, and I hope it speaks to you too.
This rustic yet impressive Riesling Braised Chicken is one of the most flavorful chicken dishes, ever! This recipe is one I […]
As soon as the seasons change, my heart and taste buds travel to the flavors of Germany.
Although I’ve never been there, it’s on my bucket list of places I dream of going. However, with recipes like this, I like to imagine myself already there. German Pork Ribs with Sauerkraut for the slow cooker.
