Hearty German Meatballs with Caraway Mushroom Cream Sauce

My recipe today for Hearty German Meatballs with Caraway Mushroom Cream Sauce is a “recipe re-do” from one I shared years ago on my blog (January of 2012 to be exact), which I called simply enough German Meatballs in Cream Sauce. This new version uses heavy cream in place of the evaporated milk I used back in 2012, does away with the beer completely and replaces it with beef stock, and I added a bunch of fresh mushrooms and stone ground mustard to pump up the flavor. Wunderbar!!

Delicious Herbed Organic Homemade Chicken Stock

When purchasing vegetables and herbs for homemade herbed chicken stock, it’s best (and healthiest) to keep them all organic, if possible. When it comes to choosing organic poultry, you’ll find that you get even more flavor out of a smaller organic chicken than a larger non-organic chicken, which makes buying organic easier on your wallet than you may have thought.

Healthy Creamy Chicken Corn Chowder with Bacon

This recipe is also a great way to sneak extra veggies into you kids without them knowing. The creaminess doesn’t come from cream at all; it comes from cooked and pureed cauliflower. They’ll never even suspect you pulled one over on them. Score one for mom! After all, it’s done in the name of love, and that can never be wrong!
