As you may or may not know, when I started my custom tile business I began doing assorted promotional tiles in various designs as a way to showcase my work and help build a name for myself in the hand painted tile arena (not that there is such an arena, but if there were…well, you get the idea).
As luck would have it, Cheryl of “Tidy Mom” had just gone through a blog reconstruction phase and with that phase she also unveiled a new and undeniably eye catching logo. You can see where I’m going with this, can’t you? Truth be told, my eyes see everything in painted tile form now. Everything! I’m a bit concerned about this fact because I lay awake at night, more times than not, thinking about painted tiles. Ah well, I digress. I’d better get back to my story…
Before long, Cheryl had emailed me (firstname.lastname@example.org) her logo so I could paint comfortably from my own kitchen table and before you know it, I was off working on her tile.
Don’t you just love her slogan? I know I do. I just wish it were true in my own home. Of course for Cheryl, being the “Tidy Mom” she is, I can only imagine how wonderfully organized her home must be. For this reason alone, I decided to turn her logo into a 4×4 magnet (complete with 4 heavy duty magnets attached to the back) to aid her in her tremendously organized lifestyle.
Oh, by the way, this little cutie can also be used as a paperweight or even a coaster. Plus, why not bring a custom hand painted magnet into an office space and decorate a file cabinet too? (See, more things I think about as I lay awake at night. lol)
Well, there you have it. It’s always so much fun for me to show the steps involved with painting a design. I can only hope that you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoy showing it. If you’d be interested in getting your own tile design painted for yourself or as a gift, please drop me an email (email@example.com) and include your picture design. I’ll then get back to you with a price quote for the product (magnets, trivets, coasters or wall hangings) and size you’re interested in (3×6, 4×4, 6×6, 6×8).
Thanks for visiting.
For now and until later,
p.s. Look to the right and you’ll see Cheryl’s actual logo button. Small world, right?
