Mini M and M Candy Cookie Recipe

What do you give your 92 year old (93 in August) father-in-law, for Father’s Day that you know will make him smile even though he’s not been in the smiling mood for several weeks?


TA-DA! Sure to bring a smile to any face…young or old 🙂

MINI M and M CANDY COOKIES      {PRINT THIS RECIPE}


2 sticks of butter, softened
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups mini m&m’s

-Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
-In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the sugars.
-Add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Blend.
-In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt.
-Stir the flour mixture into the butter/sugar mixture until well combined.
-Add in the mini m&m’s and stir until they’re thoroughly incorporated.
-Drop the dough by tablespoons onto parchment lined baking sheets, spacing them 2″ apart.
-Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

A simple cookie that will make you smile like they made my father-in-law smile.  Life is good!
