I thought I’d kick off #PumpkinWeek2016 with a bang this year and share with you this Adorable Turkey Crust Pumpkin Pie. The key to assembling the turkey crust so he doesn’t drown in all that luscious pumpkin filling is to bake the pumpkin pie partially before adding Mr. Tom Turkey on top. That way the custard pie will be set enough so that the turkey crust will sit on top of the pie, and won’t be eaten up and fall to the bottom of the pie.
I’m here to show you just how easy this Rustic Pilgrim Pumpkin Pie is to make. If you’ve never roasted a pumpkin in order to make a pumpkin pie, you’re missing out on part of the fun. If you’ve never served your pumpkin pie in an actual pumpkin (as the pilgrims did), then we need to get busy baking!
Welcome to the fifth day, and my last day participating in #HalloweenTreatsWeek. I’m really so glad I took part in this fun event with our wonderful sponsors, but I must admit for me posting 5 recipes with 5 videos in a one week period leaves me feeling a little BATTY! LOL
Eye would be remiss if eye didn’t share with you just how easy it is to make these Homemade Royal Icing Eyeballs. After all, you can’t have a spooky Halloween treat (in my opinion) without some glaring eyeballs watching your every move!
Of course, you can always purchase candy eyeballs at the store, but those only come in one size and shape, as if one size really fits all. Ha! By making your own candy eyeballs, you can tailor them to your specific needs and vision.
If hindsight really is 20/20, then I’m here to help you envision what’s possible!
With a few simple steps and ingredients (plus a little time in the cryogenic pod; aka home freezer) these frozen Halloween treats will come to life right before your very eyes! *insert evil laughter here*
Boo Berry Pie is a delicious mixed berry pie with orange zest and orange juice to kick up the flavor. To make things simple I’ve used a store bought deep dish pie crust and also a flat-rolled refrigerated crust for the easy cut out shapes.
If it looks scary or intimidating to make, I hope you’ll stick with me because I’ll walk you through the entire process of just how simple it is to recreate.
These scrambled egg rolls are the brainchild of my son, Greg. He’s been wanting me to make and produce this crunchy breakfast treat for a long, long time.
I don’t know what took me so long to finally get these made and add them to my blog, but good things come to those who wait, and please trust me, these scrambled egg rolls are really, really good things!!!
As soon as those the familiar bells from the ice cream truck started ringing, it was like time stood still, and all was right with the world. At least that’s what it seemed like when I was a kid, and I was eating my beloved toasted almond ice cream bars.
I’m updating this recipe for Old-Fashioned Grated Sweet Potato Pudding which I originally posted back in October of 2011. I’ve added new photos, a fun, and fast-paced video, plus a printable recipe card for your ease of use, and enjoyment.
Can I tell you something? If you’re following a keto diet plan (or even if you’re not), these Bacon Wrapped Broccoli Stalk Appetizers are completely addicting! And by adding the Creamy Smoked Paprika Horseradish Dipping Sauce, you’re taking your snacking to a whole other level!
