I don’t actually remember the when the lightbulb moment hit to mix my used coffee grounds with my favorite facial cleanser as my daily exfoliant, but since I’ve been using it my skin feels softer and I believe my pores are less noticeable.
The idea for the coconut oil moisturizer came shortly thereafter. It’s a mix of coconut oil, my favorite moisturizer (to keep the oil from solidifying too much) and some cinnamon and orange essential oils for a lovely and lingering Christmasy fragrance.
The reason I call this a “copycat” salad is that it mimics my favorite bagged salad which I purchase in the produce section of the market.
However, if I’m totally honest here (and why wouldn’t I be?), my Kudos Kitchen version is even better than that bagged version because I’ve added dried cranberries to the mix, and I’ve also added apple cider (you can use apple juice if needed) to thin the dressing, and for a little touch of extra sweetness.
Even if you have traditional cookie recipes, you make every year; it’s always fun to add some new ones to the repertoire. Especially if you’re giving them as gifts, hosting cookie exchange parties, or dropping a big box of homemade cookies off at a local shelter. Christmas cookies are like a warm hug filled with love that brings smiles to people’s faces, and what could be better than that?
