Sometimes the best recipes (just like inventions) come out of necessity. So it is with this recipe for Double Chocolate Graham Cracker Toffee. Since I’d had extra chocolate graham crackers left over from another recipe I’d completed, I wanted to use them up quickly before they got lost in the back of the pantry, which happens in my Kudos Kitchen more times than I care to admit.
I dressed these Cream Cheese Cookies in red for Valentine’s Day, but you can dress them in any color you like, or even leave them plain. The choice is yours. All I suggest is that you make them right away because they’ll soon become your go-to favorite cookie! Crunchy and creamy! Oh yeah!!!
This year the Chinese New Year falls on February 18th and according to the Chinese lunar calendar, 2018 is the year of the dog! No wonder I have such high hopes for 2018! Yay for dogs!!! 🙂
Today’s recipe post for German Onion Soup is a recipe re-do from one I shared back in 2013. I haven’t shared a breakfast pizza recipe in quite a few years, so I thought it was time to come up with something new. The last one I shared, I called Easy Breakfast Pizza, and it dates back to 2011. This new recipe I call Sunny Side Up Hash Brown Breakfast Pizza uses pop-tube crescent rolls, frozen shredded hash browns, American cheese slices, eggs, diced ham, and chopped scallions for garnish.
Since a traditional satay sauce is peanut butter based, I thought I’d do a play on a PB & J by adding in season, plump and juicy Florida strawberries to the satay sauce. The result is a sweet and savory dipping sauce which pairs wonderfully well with grilled chicken. To say the kids will love this dish of Chicken with Strawberry Satay Sauce is an understatement! This recipe for a Ground Pork Egg Roll Bowl is my take on a deconstructed egg roll. In place of the crispily fried eggroll wrapper, I’ve used chow mein noodles for crunch as a top garnish along with scallions, and chopped peanuts (which are completely optional). The other ingredients I’ve used are basic Chinese staple pantry ingredients. While there may be quite a few ingredients, they’re invaluable to have in your cupboards for cooking Asian cuisine throughout the year.
