he recipe I’m sharing here is a good one. However, if you’re interested in making a Santa bread, but don’t want to go to the trouble of making your own dough, by all means you can purchase some store bought frozen dough and follow the thawing and rising directions on the package. Then proceed from that point using the steps I’m sharing for assembling this adorable Santa face shape.
Surprise!! Not only are these Holly Berry Chocolate Peppermint Cupcakes delicious and easy to make, but they also have a surprise center (yes, you may call it a gift) that adds a fun and unexpected touch, that everyone will enjoy!
When we got married, and Mark and I started our own family, there were certain traditions I wanted to continue from when I was a little girl and hopefully pass along to our two boys. These cookies were one of the things I incorporated throughout the years to fondly rekindle my joyous Christmas memories.
I am happy to report that our boys (now grown) feel exactly the same way about these cookies as I did, and still do to this day. Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without Santa’s Favorite Sugar Cookies.
I adapted this recipe from one I shared back in 2010 called pecan snowball cookies. I was going to do a recipe re-do where I updated the photos in the original post. However, before I knew it, my brain was adding the festive red and green elements of pistachios and dried cranberries, and omitting the pecans altogether. The result is utterly delicious. I do hope you’ll make these Buttery Sweet Pistachio Cranberry Snowball Cookies. I know you’ll love them just as much as we do!
In the open, I called this a dessert. But if truth be told I came up with this recipe idea for Eggnog Pastry Cream Filled Croissants last Christmas and served them for our annual Christmas brunch, not a dessert. However, this year when I made them again, I served them for dessert. Whichever way you decide to serve them is up to you. The important thing is that you do!
I happen to love the flavor of peppermint during the holidays. However, neither of my sons are in favor of the flavor of peppermint. But, since I do all of the cooking and baking in the family, I get to choose what ingredients I add to my recipes. LOL Sorry, boys!
Trust me when I tell you that Santa himself would be thrilled to find a bowl of this White Chocolate Christmas Popcorn waiting for him on the hearth when he stops in on Christmas Eve to deliver packages. It’s a nice change of pace from cookies, and has that salty-sweet bite everyone loves! Even reindeer!
This recipe for Easy Colorful Holiday Vegetable Saute is one I originally shared back in 2013 but thought it was time to give it a little updated love and attention.
