Before I started baking, I was a little intimidated to tackle this traditional German Bee Sting Cake. I made this Lovely Lemon Drop Cheesecake with Lemon Curd Topping to bring to a friend’s bridal shower. I thought it would be a pretty addition to the buffet table, and it would have a nice summery feel to it.
I wish you could have heard the oohs and aahs when I walked in with it. I’d never made such an entrance before, but then again, I’d never walked into a party holding such a showstopper cheesecake before, either! LOL!

If you’re not a fan of almonds (or nuts in general), you are by all means welcome to leave them out of this recipe entirely. I promise I won’t tell, and you’ll still enjoy the flavor of this deliciously easy bread.However, you’re a fan of nuts, then by all means…add them. The texture and crunch they provide are a nice contrast to this super moist bread.
